SUMMARY:SiNG in SOLIDARITY 2: Stand Together Sing Together
DESCRIPTION:Last March we SANG in SOLIDARITY\, and we are doing it AGAIN.\n\nFeeling stressed\, worried\, or outraged? Unsure of how to respond to increased hate\, intolerance and division threatening our community and Canada? \nWe invite you to come USE YOUR VOICE to resist and SING in SOLIDARITY with our neighbours both near and far! \nLast March\, over 600 came out to SING in SOLIDARITY. This time\, we’re bringing it to the streets… \nOn Sunday\, October 25\, from 4 – 6 PM\, come and learn songs of LOVE\, RESISTANCE\, and HOPE as we proclaim the inclusive society we stand for. No experience necessary – ALL are welcome with a special invitation to youth and young adults. \nWe will begin our singing inside at Trillium church\, but then will WALK to Waterloo Town Square and continue our singing there. We want to take the singing OUTSIDE to the people! Please dress accordingly. \n\nUnable to make the walk? The walk and the outdoor singing will be livestreamed on the big screens inside the church. You are welcome to just stay in the sanctuary and follow along for the remainder of the event. \nThis is a free community event open to ALL. It’s being organized by a collaboration of concerned citizens\, and community partners. \nTo Help you prepare: \n\nSONG PLAYLIST (work in progress)\nLYRICS sheet (work in progress)\n\nParking is free in Trillium’s lot. Additional free parking is available on Willow street at the City Centre Parking lot. Carpooling or arriving by transit or foot are encouraged!\n\nUnable to join us in person? This event will be livestreamed from Trillium’s YouTube channel and will go live at 4 pm.\nQuestions? Contact Sara Wahl – sarajwahl@gmail.com
